A1) "Golden Quill" Award Description: Awarded for the Best article published in external media or Club, Area or Division Newsletter Submission Deadline: 15 April 2018 Eligibility: 1. Only submissions by toastmasters in good standing at time of submission will be considered 2. Contents must be substantially original 3. Length: 1000 to 1500 words Evaluation Criteria: 1. Content (50%) - usefulness to development of individual toastmasters or of clubs in terms of relevant knowledge, communication, language and leadership skills 2. Language (30%) - Quality of language, style, humour, grammar, structure 3. Impact (20%) - the potential impact that the article has on individuals and clubs in terms of improving toastmasters communication and leadership skills within the club, the workplace or at any other place Award Details: Medal during DTAC

A2) "Poster Master" Award Description: Awarded for the 'Best Poster' designed for a Toastmasters Club, Area or Division Event Deadline: 15 April 2018 Eligibility: 1. Only submissions by toastmasters in good standing at time of submission will be considered 2. Contents must be substantially original 3. Submissions must follow international standard poster sizes which are 24″ x 36″ for a large poster, 18″ x 24″ for a medium, 11″ x 17″ for a small poster; While most posters are likely to be used for on-screen viewing, the resolution must be adequate for printing them in medium format (18" x 24") with clarity and no pixellation; both landscape and portrait formats are acceptable 4. Posters can use computer graphics, photographs or a mix of both with appropriate text 5. Submissions shall be through electronic files (JPEG) and file sizes shall not be more than 6 MB Evaluation Criteria: 1. Creativity (30%) 2. Visual appeal (30%) 3. Clarity of Purpose and relevance to toastmasters (20%) 4. Conformance to Toastmasters International Branding Guidelines (20%) Award Details: Medal during DTAC

A3) "Lensman" Award Description: Awarded for the best photograph showcasing any or all of the values, objectives and the spirit of toastmasters (one winner each for the first three quarters) Deadline: 15th October 2017, 15th January 2017 and 15th April 2018 Eligibility: 1. Only, submissions by toastmasters in good standing at time of submission will be considered 2. The photograph must be an original work of the submitting toastmaster and must be certified to that effect. Consent of any person(s) figuring in the photograph must be obtained as required 3. Format: Electronic submission in JPEG format with a minimum file size of 1 MB 4. Image quality: Images shall not be electronically manipulated except for cropping, and adjustments for colour balance, saturation, contrast, sharpness and brightness Evaluation Criteria: 1. Content (40%)- What the picture portrays; does it tell a story? does it provoke thought? is it a call for action? 2. Technical Quality (40%) - Composition, Lighting, colour balance, sharpness etc. 3. A4) "24 Frames" Award Description: Awarded for the best short video that brings out a meaningful toastmasters story or message showcasing any or all of the values, objectives and the spirit of toastmasters (one winner each for the first three quarters) Deadline: 15th October 2017, 15th January 2017 and 15th April 2018 Eligibility: 1. Only submissions by toastmasters in good standing at time of submission will be considered 2. The video must be an original work of the submitting toastmaster and must be certified to that effect. Consent of any person(s) figuring in the video must be obtained as required 3. Format - Electronic submission in MP4 format 4. Image quality - Adjustments for colour balance, saturation, contrast, sharpness and brightness are permitted 5. Animation videos are excluded Evaluation Criteria: 1. Content (40%) - What the video portrays; does it tell a story? does it provoke thought? is it a call for action? 2. B1) "Prime Communiqué" Award Description: Best Club Newsletter Award Deadline: 15 April 2018 Eligibility Criteria: 1. Only submissions by clubs in good standing at time of submission will be considered 2. Minimum three issues with a gap of 2 months between issues during the year are required to qualify for the award 3. Submissions shall be in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (pdf) format only Evaluation Criteria: 1. Educational contents (30%) 2. News value (Club, Area, Division, District) (30%) 3. Compliance with Toastmasters Branding guidelines (20%) 4. Layout, Design, Consistency among issues, Creativity (20%) Award Details: Medal during DTAC

B2) "Web Weaver" Award Description: Best Club Website Award Deadline: 15 April 2018 Eligibility Criteria: 1. Only submissions by clubs in good standing at time of submission will be considered 2. Club websites may be independent sites created from scratch or sites created using the freetoasthost platform Evaluation Criteria: 1. Relevant Educational content (20%) 2. Design Layout, Adherence to Toastmasters brand guidelines (20%) 3. News Value (Club, Area, Division, District) (20%) 4. Creativity (15%) 5. Frequency of updates of Club History and Current Affairs (15%) 6. Links to Toastmasters resources Website/ dashboard and other resources (10%) Award Details: Medal during DTAC

B3) "Media Talk" Award Description: Awarded to the Club that maintains best Social media presence throughout the year Deadline: 15 April 2018 Eligibility Criteria: 1. Only submissions by clubs in good standing at the time of submission will be considered 2. For the purposes of this award, Facebook and Whatsapp are the two platforms being considered with more weightage being assigned for Facebook 3. Participating clubs shall provide their club FB page links to the district PR team. They may also use the 'Export Chat' facility to create quarterly archives for their club Whatsapp group for submission in support of their submission. Evaluation Criteria: 1. Relevance of content (40%) 2. News Value (Club, Area, Division, District) (20%) 3. Popularity among members (15%) 4. Liveliness of the group and frequency of updates (15%) 5. Innovation (10%) Award Details: Medal during DTAC

NOTES:- - All submissions will be evaluated by a committee to be appointed by the District PR Team

- At the discretion of the evaluation committee Awards may not be declared for any category in case a minimum of three submissions is not received under that category or if in the judgement of the evaluation of the committee none of the submissions meet a minimum quality that is expected
